Our mission
Credit Reveals is an educational website that helps Indian consumers understand their credit reports and fix errors on their own, without paying expensive agencies. Our goal is to share practical knowledge so that visitors can make informed decisions.
Information we collect and why
Google authentication
We use Google OAuth for safe login without a password. When you sign in with Google, we collect and store:
- • Email address: to identify your account and for support communication
- • Name: shown on your comments and profile
- • Profile picture: shown next to your comments
We never store passwords. Signing in is optional. Most of the educational content can be read without an account.
Session cookies
We use secure JWT-based session cookies to keep you logged in during your visit. These are strictly necessary login cookies and they do not track your activity on other websites.
Comments
When you post a comment, we store the comment, your display name, your profile picture and the time of posting in our database. These are publicly visible to other visitors. We moderate comments to keep the discussion respectful.
Inquiries
If you send an inquiry through the Inquiry page, we collect and store your name, email address, mobile number, credit bureau, problem type and description. Our team reads this to give you guidance. We do not share it with third parties.
Contact form
Messages sent through the contact form are forwarded to our support email address. We keep contact messages for up to one year for customer service, and we do not use them for marketing.
Rate limiting records
To stop misuse of our inquiry and comment features, we keep a request counter for each user, which resets every hour. This record has only a count and a time. It has no personal content.
Email drafting tool: works only in your browser
Our drafting tool works fully inside your browser. Nothing you enter, such as personal details, account numbers or the drafted content, is ever sent to or stored on our servers. Everything stays on your device until you copy it and send it yourself.
How we use your information
We use the information only to run and improve the website: to manage accounts, allow comments, reply to inquiries and prevent misuse. We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing.
We may share information only when the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of users, or with service providers who help us run the website and are bound by strict confidentiality.
Data retention and your rights
We keep your personal information only for as long as needed:
- • Account data: kept until you ask us to delete it
- • Comments: kept so that discussions make sense, and can be deleted on request
- • Inquiries: kept to give you guidance, and reviewed from time to time
- • Contact form messages: kept for one year
- • Rate limit records: reset every hour, not kept for long
You have the right to see, correct or ask us to delete your personal information. To do this, write to us at support@creditreveals.in.
Data security
We use proper security measures, including SSL/TLS encryption when data is sent, secure Google OAuth login, and limited access to personal data only for those who need it. We take reasonable care, but no method of sending data over the internet is 100% secure.

Our website has links to other websites, such as credit bureau portals. We are not responsible for their privacy practices or content. Please read their privacy policies before you give them any personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If there are important changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If you keep using the website after the changes, it means you accept the updated policy.
